Frankie Manning nowadays is considerate the “father” of Lindy Hop. He passed away on 2009, some months before his 95th birthday celebration. Since then, his birthday was celebrated year after year by the Lindy Hop International community. On May 2014 dancers from all over the world gathered in New York to celebrate “FRANKIE 100th”. It was a 5 days event, with a double show in the Apollo Theatre, lots of activities during day and night, closing with a parade in the streets of Harlem, where Frankie lived and danced.
